Downtown North
Phase One of Hartford’s Downtown North (DoNo) redevelopment project broke ground on October 16, 2020. Stamford-based RMS Cos. was selected to develop the $250 million mixed-use project.
Parcel C is the first of four vacant city-owned lots located at the northern end of downtown to be developed into apartments, retail, and entertainment. The new construction is adjacent to Dunkin’ Park and bridges the central business district to the city’s north end community.
The Capital Region Development Authority provided an $11.8 million loan for the $56 million first phase, which includes a 330-space parking garage, a 270-unit mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, and 11,000 square feet of commercial space. The DoNo Cafe was the first retail occupant at the development.
The Pennant
The 270-unit apartment complex was completed in October of 2022. It sits adjacent to the Dunkin’ Park baseball stadium. Its location just two blocks from Church Street provides a walkable connection between the stadium and downtown’s commercial center.
