Hartford Carriage House

Near the XL Center and the city’s Union Station, now sits the Hartford Carriage House Apartments, (Carriage House). The project, developed by Paul Khakshouri, encompasses three historic buildings along Allyn Street. The Grand Apartments on the corner of Ann Uccello and the 179 Allyn apartments a block away from the Carriage House transform this once-declining district into a vibrant residential corridor.

The $2.1 million project was financed in part by CRDA’s $6 million loan. Federal and state historic credits were also part of the financing. The building was originally the Hartford Horse and Carriage Repository built in 1895. The developer retained the emblematic elements of the structures and incorporated them into the 66 studio, one and two-bedroom units. The unique floor plans feature exposed brick walls, the original furbished carriage entry doors and decorative period window frames.

Apartments are now leasing. For more information, email leasing@hartfordcarriagehouse.com or call 860.246.4400.
