Hartford Lofts

Developer, Jose Ramirez of Asylum 289 Condominiums, LLC, received a bridge and construction loan totaling $485,000 from the Capital Region Development Authority in support of the $1.474 million project that has housing above street-level commercial space.

The apartments at 289 Asylum Street occupy a prime spot in downtown Hartford. The eight two-bedroom, one-bath units are just one block from the XL Center and Bushnell Park. The location also allows for easy and convenient access to public transportation being just two blocks from Union Train Station and the CT Fastrak express bus service. As a stop on the route of the city’s free downtown area shuttle, the ‘dash’, property residents are minutes away from Capital Community College,  Dunkin Donut’s Stadium, the state office building on Columbus Boulevard, Riverfront Plaza, the Connecticut Science Center, the Old State House, the Connecticut Convention Center, Front Street District, UConn-Hartford, city hall, the public library, and the Wadsworth Atheneum.

The spacious loft-style apartments were completed in 2019. Features include an elevator,  high ceilings, polished concrete floors, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, central air, and in-unit washer and dryer. Dogs and cats are allowed with a pet deposit and assigned parking in an adjacent surface lot is available at an additional fee. Monthly rent for the units starts at $1,500.
