Board of Directors

As specified in the state statute establishing the Capital Region Development Authority, there is a governing board consisting of 14 members, four of which are appointed by the Governor, two appointed by the mayor of the city of Hartford (a city employee who is not an elected official and a resident), one appointed jointly by the speaker of the House of Representatives and the president pro tempore of the Senate, and one appointed jointly by the minority leaders of the House of Representatives and Senate. The mayors of Hartford and East Hartford shall be members of the board and the OPM Secretary, Commissioners of Transportation, Housing, and Economic and Community Development, or their designees shall serve as ex-officio members of the board. The chairperson shall be designated by the Governor.

Terms

All board members serve four-year terms,  are eligible for reappointment, and receive no compensation for their service.
