Downtown North

Phase One of Hartford’s Downtown North (DoNo) redevelopment project broke ground on October 16, 2020. Stamford-based RMS Cos. was selected as the developer of the $250 million mixed-use project.

Parcel C is the first of four vacant city-owned lots located at the northern end of downtown to be developed into apartments, retail and entertainment. The new construction is adjacent to Dunkin’ Donuts Park and will extend the connection of the central business district to the city’s north end community.

The Capital Region Development Authority is providing an $11.8 million loan to the $56 million first phase, which consists of a 330-space parking garage, a 270-unit mix of studio, one and two-bedroom apartments and 11,000 square feet of commercial space. It is expected to be completed by 2022.
