81 Arch

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) helped to complete the fourth and final phase of the Front Street development with the financing of 81 Arch Street. The project includes new construction of 53 market-rate apartments and 11,000 square feet of retail space. CRDA provided a loan of up to $5.6 million for the $22.7 million development. The loan to Front Street developer, N.B. Nitkin, has a 10-year term when the note will be refinanced.

A mix of studio, one-bedroom and bi-level two-bedroom units comprise the apartment complex located adjacent to the Hartford UConn branch and the Front Street entertainment district. The additional housing supplements the 121 apartments at the Front Street Lofts. The apartments were completed in July of 2019 and are currently up for lease.
